Biography
Richard Coronado is a proven Technology Business Management (TBM) Professional with extensive experience in technology and financial management. He is a creative thinker, strategist, and philanthropist dedicated to advancing Latinos in business. Coronado has developed and managed programs to assist underserved communities and small businesses in various industries, including technology, healthcare, government, trade and transportation, education, real estate, sports and entertainment, and non-profit.
Currently, as the Manager of Technology Business Management at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Coronado is responsible for configuring and operationalizing a TBM Cost Transparency solution (Apptio) to provide executives with the knowledge to manage and communicate the cost, quality, and value of IT services.
In addition to his professional achievements, Coronado is an active mentor for the Regional Hispanic Institute’s (RHI) Mentorship Program and the Regional Hispanic Leadership Council (RHLC), which he co-founded. These programs bridge the gap between college students and the local and business community, providing internship experience, leadership development, and mentoring. Coronado's commitment to these programs stems from his own upbringing in a neighborhood plagued by violence and crime. He credits his parents, mentors, and peers for influencing his success and guiding him towards a brighter future.

Coronado's family immigrated from Jalisco, Mexico to an area of Los Angeles that borders Inglewood and Lennox. To pursue a better future, he realized that education was the key. In 2010, he graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelors of Science in Finance, Real Estate, and Law, and in 2012, he graduated from the UCLA Anderson School of Business - Riordan MBA Fellowship.
